Aaytha Siragugal - The Year 2019

Hi All,

Happy New Year 2020 to everyone.

For us, aaythaSiragugal the year 2019 has been awesome and fantastic. We continued our work with the same enthusiam as we were doing from 2014. This year provided us an opportunity to conduct sessions in other cities like Coimbatore,Chennai and Nilgiris. In Madurai also the volunteers have been working closely towards a child friendly environment. During this year we conducted an open session in Madurai on Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. Through this program we reached out to more than 200+ people, and all our volunteers from Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai gathered together for the successful conduct of the event. In the year 2019 alone we conducted 85 sessions.

Below is the split up of sessions conducted in each districts:

  • Madurai - 43
  • Coimbatore - 24
  • Chennai - 18
We focused mainly on the prevention of child sexual abuse and awareness on menstrual hygiene. Below are the total number of people we reached out through our sessions in each districts:

  • Madurai - 3,596
  • Chennai - 1,417
  • Coimbatore - 1,279
In the year 2019 alone we reached out to nearly 6200 people. We have expanded our circle to Nilgiris by covering 500 children in 7 sessions. Apart from our awareness session we are also supporting educational requests, selecting beneficiaries and providing regular monthly support. We would like to continue with the same mission and vision in next year also through your support.

Thanks to all our volunteers who had worked tirelessly, spending their valuable time for the team to conduct multiple events and for making this year a wonderful one.

Huge thanks to our sponsors by whom we are supporting our educational requests.

Thanks,
Vishnukumar Devadoss
